  1. Your group did an excellent job with your lesson plan and presentation. You all had detailed notes and stats which you shared with the class and, these were important ones that students should understand. I liked the power point presentation as it was clear, straight to the point and detailed. The activity groups you had was an excellent idea as each station was different and it made us to go back and think about what we learned and, to be creative as well. The one problem I had with the activity was that the rotation could have been a little better but overall, I had no problem with the activities. In the end, your group did an excellent job teaching the value and importance of nutrition and how everyone (children to adults) needs to get the daily servings from the different food groups. Since childhood obesity is on the rise, this is a great lesson that students should pay attention as it is a lesson not only directed to the students but to their long term health as well. Great job group 2!

  2. You guys did a great job with your lesson plan. I particularly enjoyed the different stations you had set up for the students. It was interactive and creative. Educating students at an early age the importance of eating healthy and according to the Canada's Food Guide is extremely beneficial simply because children have the tendency of developing habits at that age. I loved your Power Point presentation because you kept the information simple and basic to help better the students' understanding. Great job, guys!

  3. You guys also did a great job with your lesson plan and PowerPoint. Presentation was easy to follow and you kept us all engaged throughout. The different station handouts and activities were good. I like the idea of personalizing lunches and talking about what we as individuals would be eating. Analyzing our own daily meals is much more affective. It puts our eating habits into perspective. If you had to base your lesson simply on students with special needs, would you change anything about your lesson?

  4. Another great presentation on nutrition! I liked that you had a very informative, comprehensive introduction. It demonstrated why proper nutrition is an important education program to implement. I thought it was great that you went through all the nutritional benefits from each food group

While the canada food guide suggest a certain number of servings, it might be more tangible for young students to understand what portion of each they should be eating. The harvard plate might be a good visual to incorporate in the future!

  5. Good job teaching this lesson on nutrition. I thought you gave a good intro and conclusion for the lesson; it was easy to understand. The activities were age appropriate. How would you tailor this lesson to people with language barriers or students who don’t eat a traditional Western diet?
